What does a crewed charter mean?

A crewed charter is a yacht (sailing, motor or motor sailer) which has crew. You are not required to assist in the operation of the yacht.

Can I bring my children?

Children are more than welcome. The crew has assigned duties and are not there to offer child services but they will make sure the children have a good time.

Who plans the menu?

Your personal chef will prepare the menu to meet your requests. We will be sending you a food preference sheet to fill in, so you let us know your favorite foods and beverages. Your chef will usually provide a sample menu of the yacht�s cuisine. Chefs take great pride in their dishes and use the freshest ingredients available.

Will I experience sea sickness?

This is based on your past experience. If you are worried about seasickness there are certain medication which can help prevent this. If you are new to yacht chartering, let the crew know; they will make your trip as comfortable as possible by recommending routes in protected waters and keeping tabs on changing weather conditions.

Is smoking allowed on board?

For safety reasons mainly, the prevention of fire and additionally to keeping the interior clean, smoking is not allowed at the cabins but only in deck areas, at the dining room & day areas.

What type of crewed yacht is best for me?

Do the yachts come with toys?

Depending on the size and luxury of the yacht they are equipped accordingly. Most are equipped with snorkeling & fishing gear, windsurf, water skis. Do the yachts come with scuba diving equipement?

Greece is a well known country for her undersea ancient treasures. In her effort to protect its historical tradition she has brought up for years now regulations that should be strictly adhered to. Although scuba is a marvelous experience it can also be dangerous. Can I plan me own itinerary?

Generally yes. If you have no idea our charter department can offer suggested routes according to what you desire to do and see. Of course, as all weather patterns Internationally are unpredictable, if between our office personnel and your captain we suggest an alternative itinerary to your first choice, it is only to make your trip most enjoyable. We will try to accommodate your requirements and desires, weather permitting.

What happens if I run into problems during my trip?

Although it is not expected, if any problems whatsoever should occur, while on board, please contact our agency immediately in order that we may try to sort it out. Your captain is the first person you should be discussing all matters with. If not satisfied, do call our agency. Don't come back from your trip to tell us about it or write to us from home later, as any complaint will then be unacceptable. You have every opportunity during your trip to communicate with our Greek agency or us here.

What type of shoes should I bring?

It is the utmost well-known habit, guests to step in the interior yacht areas without shoes. Soft shoes are recommended for the teak deck areas while high heels might be harmful for these surfaces. The main villages in Greek islands are built amphitheatrically in various levels with lots of steps and narrow coble stoned alleys and walking on high heels or heavy shoes turns out to be an extremely difficult experience.

Do I tip the crew?

A discretionary payment reflecting the quality of services received by the crew, that normally varies to 7%-15% of the charter fee, can be handed to the Captain (or separately to each crew member). He will fairly distribute the gratuities to all members of the crew depending on their position and efforts.

What should I pack?

Yacht charter is generally an informal and relaxed kind of holiday and dressing in Greece is casual. For clothing bring bathing suits, cotton shorts, T-shirts, an extra sweater and long cotton pants for cool nights and a light foul-weather gear for the occasional rainy days.
